Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take custom song requests, and can they be added after booking?
Personalization is an important part of the Keys & Prosecco experience, and I welcome song requests that are meaningful to you and your celebration. I understand some people may not have their requests ready before the Discovery Call. I'm happy to suggest songs that fit your love story. Any associated preparation fees will always be communicated before being added.
Will I be able to hear my custom song before the wedding?
Yes! You can expect to receive a rough draft within 6–8 weeks after booking, followed by a final draft for your review so you know exactly what you're getting!
How far in advance should I book, and what's required to reserve my date?
To ensure every couple receives the preparation and care their music deserves, I welcome bookings up to three months before the wedding date. To reserve your date, I require a Discovery Call, a signed agreement, and a non-refundable 50% deposit of your package total. If your date is within the three-month window, an additional Preparation Fee may apply. However, I'm still open to hearing
your vision!
When does a Preparation Fee apply & how are custom song fees determined?
Preparation Fee may apply when a song requires additional preparation to perform it confidently and beautifully on your wedding day. This can include dedicated rehearsal time or rush requests made closer to your wedding date. Custom song fees are based on the amount of preparation required, and each request is reviewed individually. Any additional fee is always discussed and approved in advance. If your requested song is already part of my repertoire, it's included at no additional fee!
Is there a limit to custom song requests?
There's no set limit; however, availability may depend on timeline and preparation requirements. Multiple requests can be discussed during the Discovery Call to ensure everything feels cohesive and well-prepared.
What are your setup and venue requirements, and do you provide
your own equipment?
I require at least 2 hours prior to the event start for setup and soundcheck, access to a power outlet, and a safe, dry space to perform with direct access for load-in/out. As for equipment, it depends on your venue — if a quality piano and sound system are available, I'm happy to use them! If not, I can bring my own digital piano and amplification for a flat equipment fee of $300, which covers transport, setup, and soundcheck. If the venue provides an acoustic piano, it must have been professionally tuned within 6 months of the event; otherwise, the digital option may be required at your expense.
Do you travel outside of Pierce County, and can you perform outdoors?
Travel within Pierce County is included in my packages. For venues beyond that, a travel fee of up to $300 may apply based on mileage, time, or lodging needs. Outdoor performances are absolutely possible with the right setup — I require a covered, shaded, and dry space along with a weather contingency plan in case of rain or extreme conditions.
What add-on services do you offer?
A few options are available to make your day even more special! Cocktail hour as a standalone service is $700. If you'd like to add another instrumentalist or vocalist, I can coordinate and rehearse with them — the Additional Musician Fee starts at $350, and I'm happy to discuss your vision for a proper quote!
What happens if my event runs overtime or needs to be cancelled?
Additional time beyond the agreed-upon hours is billed at $100/hour. As for cancellations, I allow a grace period of 30 days leading up to your event. Should you cancel within that window, you are responsible for the remaining balance unless I'm able to rebook the date. If I must cancel due to illness or emergency, I will either find a qualified substitute or refund any remaining balance if already paid.
What should I know about day-of details?
Depending on the length of your event, I typically take a 15-minute break per 40 minutes of playtime, though we can adjust this based on your flow of events. If your venue provides an acoustic piano, please ensure it has been professionally tuned within 6 months of the event to guarantee the best sound for your day!
