Equipment & Setup

Standard Setup

For acoustic pianos, if the instrument is not tuned within six months of your event, I must recommend tuning at your expense or request the digital piano option.

Tuning

Weather & Outdoor Events

Should you cancel less than 30 days before your event, you are still responsible for the full fee unless I am able to re-book the date. If I must cancel due to an illness or emergency, I will assist in finding a qualified substitute or refund the remaining balance if it’s already been paid.

Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your package total and a signed agreement
confirms your date. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your event.

Deposit & Confirmation

Please notify me as soon as possible of any changes. Dates are held in good
faith once the deposit is paid; if you change the date, I will do my best to accommodate but cannot guarantee availability.

Changes to Date/Time/Venue

  • My packages assume access to a well-maintained acoustic piano or a venue-provided digital piano with house amplification/sound system. I require a safe and dry space for performance, power access for digital gear, and appropriate lighting.
  • At least 2 hours prior to event start

Please ensure there is a safe, direct access for load-in/out. If I must carry gear up stairs, across rough terrain, or the venue has restrictive timing, additional labor charges may apply.

Client-Requested Equipment

  • If you would like me to bring my own digital piano and provide my own speakers/amplification, there will be an additional flat fee of $300. This fee covers transport, setup/load-out time, and the rental/use of my equipment.
  • This fee assumes I have prompt access to tear down and retrieve my equipment once the performance concludes. If I am asked to delay teardown or remain on site to retrieve my equipment at a later time, additional time may be billed at $100 per hour, consistent with my overtime rate. This policy helps ensure transparency and fair compensation for time beyond the original scope of service.

Set Duration & Breaks

My set duration depends on your piano music needs. Generally, I require one 15-minute break per 40 minutes. However, if your event has a unique flow of events, this can be discussed.

Repertoire & Performance

Song Requests & Specials

  • I welcome your preferred songs & styles. Please provide your list of “must play” pieces at least 60 days in advance. Requests received within the 60-day window can still be accommodated when possible but may incur an additional fee to account for the extra preparation time needed to make sure the arrangement sounds exactly the way you envision.
  • Song requests submitted within 30 days of the event will not be accepted, as this would not allow enough time to prepare the arrangement to a professional standard. I want every performance to reflect the care and quality your event deserves, and accepting         last-minute song requests would be  unfair to both you and your guests.
For outdoor performances, please provide a covered, dry space, and contingency for bad weather if applicable.

Overtime

Standard Travel Zone

Additional hours beyond the package are billed at $100/hour
My rates include travel within Pierce county!

Out-of-area Travel

For venues beyond the standard travel zone, mileage and/or lodging may be added up to $300; I will provide details in your quote.

Setup

Please allow at least 2 hours for setup and sound check prior to your scheduled
start time. Early access to the performance space is essential.

Personalized Music & Custom Song Requests

Custom Song Fees may apply to:
● Songs not currently in my repertoire
● Requests requiring special arrangement or adaptation
● Pieces that warrant additional rehearsal time
All Custom Song Fees are discussed and confirmed prior to booking, allowing your experience
to feel seamless and assured.

Your music should feel effortless and 100% tailored to your love story. If a requested song is already part of my repertoire, it is included as part of your experience at no additional fee. For songs that are new to my repertoire, a Custom Song Fee may apply. This ensures each piece is prepared with the same level of care, artistry, and refinement that defines your celebration.
